We are a neutral platform that connects people selling diamonds with professional national buyers. We do not buy diamonds ourselves, and we are not owned by any buyer. This page explains how we decide which buyers to work with, because a comparison platform is only useful if it is honest about its own process.
What we are, and what we are not
We are an intermediary. When you request a quote, we forward your details to professional buyers who can evaluate your diamond and make an offer. Using the platform is free for sellers. We are not a buyer, not a jeweler, and not an auction house. We do not take possession of your diamond and we do not set the offer you receive. The buyer does that.
Our criteria for buyers
We aim to connect sellers only with buyers that meet the standards we tell sellers to look for. The criteria we apply:
- Transparent evaluation. The buyer explains how an offer is calculated rather than presenting a number with no reasoning.
- Insured, trackable shipping for online transactions, both to the buyer and, if the seller declines, back to the seller at no cost.
- Free returns. A seller who declines an offer gets the diamond back, insured and free.
- Verifiable track record. Recognized history and third-party reviews, not just self-description.
- No high-pressure tactics. The buyer gives sellers time to compare offers and decide.
Why we encourage multiple offers
We tell every seller the same thing: get more than one offer. This may seem odd for a platform that connects you with buyers, but it is the honest advice, and it is the reason this resource exists. Buyers value the same stone differently. A seller who compares offers gets a fair price and trusts the process. That trust is worth more to us than steering anyone toward a single buyer.
How we keep this resource accurate
The diamond resale market shifts, and outdated information misleads sellers. We review our guidance and the market figures it rests on periodically, and we date every page so you can see when it was last checked. Where we cite market ranges, such as the 25% to 50% resale figure or the effect of GIA certification, those reflect widely reported industry data, not a single source.
